The reputation of Aquagard as the leading damp-proof coursing for commercial applications has seen it specified for the design and build of The Guildway, a luxury office development in Guildford, Surrey.
Main contractor Jarvis laid more than 1,000m2 of Aquagard on to the 140mm thick blockwork inner-leaves of both two-storey buildings as it was deemed a more high performance and cost-effective alternative to the original damp-proofing specification.
Supplied in standard width rolls, Aquagard was also used to provide continuous cavity trays for 75mm width cavity walls and specially fabricated cloaks - easily accommodating the building's curved-in plan front. Hundreds of special window cloaks were also easily fitted around stainless steel brick supports.
Mr Steve Wallis, Contracts manager at Jarvis, said: "Marley Waterproofing's Aquagard meets all the necessary standards and we never have a problem with either the performance or the installation.
