Marley Waterproofing's performance-conscious Aquagard and Dampseal damp-proof products have been installed at Edinburgh's latest style-conscious bar, as a result of the company's renowned technical support service.
Specified by J. A. Leask Architects for the fashionable Siglo, a Mediterranean-style bar, Marley Waterproofing's technical team were required to design detailing areas such as a partial basement where a 'solid cavity' was constructed in blockwork to serve as a retaining wall. Contractors Lilley Construction installed Dampseal as a vertical damp-proof course between the two leafs.
Aquagard was used to form cavity trays and a horizontal damp-proof course and easily accommodated the building's sloping site, which required a tanked substructure along one street.
Mr Sandy Leask, a Partner at J. A. Leask Architects, said: "We have every confidence in Marley Waterproofing as they supply proven products which come with a very good technical back-up service on the detailing.
