THE ENVIRONMENT
The company is committed to a sustainable future. All relevant UK and EU legislation is implemented with increasing emphasis on environmental regulations. This includes codes of practice, procedures and guidelines that are subscribed to the waterproofing industries.
The Marley Waterproofing manufacturing operation complies with the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2007. This Act requires that bitumen handling temperatures, extraction systems and raw material deliveries need to be carefully managed to control and minimise emissions to the environment. Special features in the manufacturing plant include a dust and fume extraction system which has been installed to significantly improve the air quality within the manufacturing area.
The potential for recycling or returning material/packaging directly to the source is regularly reviewed. The development of new products and modifications to existing products are reviewed to fully understand and potentially reduce their impact on the environment.
